Course Description
Who Should Attend:Child Support Enforcement (CSE) workers who handle interstate cases, whether from the initial filing of a request to enforcement of a support order, should attend this course. Any worker responsible for resolving Child Support Enforcement Network (CSENet) mail alerts or the sending of CSENet notes.
Overview and Focus:Automation has made a significant impact on the Title IV-D Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Program. The CSENet allows CSE workers to electronically initiate and respond to interstate CSE activities. This course focuses on using CSENet to:
- Locate noncustodial parents and custodial parents
- Establish paternity and support obligations
- Enforce support orders and collection of monies
- Gather case information
- Legislation that impacted the creation and development of CSENet
- The standard CSENet language used
- The mail alerts issued when information is received through CSENet
- The importance of accurate primary request and out-of-state (OOS) case ID on ISRQ
- The three methods PACSES provides for sending a CSENet note
- The impact of CSENet on case processing

Course Level
200 Level These courses provide instruction on emerging issues, new policies, and policy updates. In addition, the courses provide advanced instruction in specific subject areas relating to each of the child support enforcement (CSE) case management processes. The courses vary in length from one to three days and are designed for more experienced CSE staff.
