Course Description
Who Should Attend:Conference officers, hearing officers, IV-D attorneys, and other DRS staff dealing directly with applying the guidelines to establish a support order.
Overview and Focus:This two-day course provides advanced, practical instruction on the application of the guidelines in accordance with specific statutes, rules, regulations, and procedures for support order establishment as defined at the Federal, State, and local levels of government.
Topics Addressed:- Assessment and determination of income
- Calculations for basic support (child and spouse)
- Calculations for adjustments to basic support
- PACSES processing in all topics mentioned above
- Applicable case law in dealing with income and calculations for support

Course Level
200 Level These courses provide instruction on emerging issues, new policies, and policy updates. In addition, the courses provide advanced instruction in specific subject areas relating to each of the child support enforcement (CSE) case management processes. The courses vary in length from one to three days and are designed for more experienced CSE staff.
