Course Description

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for Child Support Enforcement (CSE) workers who are responsible for intake responsibilities.

Overview and Focus:

Accurate intake processing is vital in the child support process. The intake worker must tackle challenging issues in order to process support cases. This course will focus on issues of domestic violence; immigrant and non-immigrant client relationships and Limited English Proficiency (LEP); when to re-open a previously closed case; the IV-A process and the Client Information System (CIS); the Combine Duplicate Member (CDUP) process and member clearance; medical support; and the Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System (PACSES) processing of intrastate, interstate and international support cases.

Course Level

200 Level These courses provide instruction on emerging issues, new policies, and policy updates. In addition, the courses provide advanced instruction in specific subject areas relating to each of the child support enforcement (CSE) case management processes. The courses vary in length from one to three days and are designed for more experienced CSE staff.
