CC 604 Monthly Obligation Follow-Up Workshop

Course Description

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed to address the needs of essential members of the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) staff who would like an in-depth explanation of the back-out and reapply process resulting from obligation adjustments.

Overview and Focus:

The goal of this workshop is to supplement information provided through the "Change Control 604 (CC 604)" - "Monthly Obligation Frequency" Workshop regarding obligation adjustments.

Topics Addressed:

This workshop will examine and analyze obligation adjustments performed by the Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System (PACSES) as a result of modification. The financial processing and amount of obligation adjustment resulting from four different modification scenarios will be illustrated.

• The four scenarios include those:
  • Established before implementation of CC 604 and modified before implementation of CC 604 with an effective date prior to CC 604.
  • Established before implementation of CC 604 and modified after implementation of CC 604 with an effective date post-CC 604.
  • Established before implementation of CC 604 and modified after implementation of CC 604 with an effective date prior to CC 604.
  • Established after implementation of CC 604 and modified after implementation of CC 604 with an effective date post-CC 604.

At the end of the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to independently practice explaining and calculating obligation adjustment scenarios with access to instructor guidance and assistance.
